INDICATIONS
Butaphosphan is indicated in the usage to combat phosphorous deficiency and improve the condition of the animal and its production with supplementation of phosphorous.
It is further indicated for the treatment of hypocalcaemia (related to calcium therapy), anorexia, in breastfeeding, stress conditions, bird flu hysteria and cannibalism in birds. It is also indicated to improve muscle performance in race horses, fighting cocks, fighting bulls increase in milk production in dairy cows.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
The usual dosage is as follows: 10‑25ml of butaphosphan and vitamin B12 per kg body weight in horses and cattle and
2.5‑5ml of butaphosphan and vitamin B₁₂ per kg body weight in sheep and goat(intramuscularly, intravenously & subcutaneously).
Butaphosphan + vitamin B₁₂ injections shouldn’t be administered if any hypersensitivity is discovered.
