    Cattle pigs and horses.

    INDICATIONS

    Cattle: For use in the treatment of acute respiratory infections, in conjunction with appropriate antibiotic therapy, to reduce clinical signs. For use in the treatment of diarrhea, in conjunction with oral rehydration therapy, to reduce clinical signs in calves over one week of age and in young non-lactating cattle. For use as an adjunct to antibiotic therapy in the treatment of acute mastitis.

    Pigs: For use in non-infectious locomotor disorders to alleviate symptoms of lameness and inflammation. For use as an adjunct to appropriate antibiotic therapy in the treatment of postpartum septicaemia and toxaemia (Mastitis-Metritis-Agalactia syndrome).

    Horses:For the alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. For the relief of pain associated with equine colic.

    DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

    Cattle: Single subcutaneous or intravenous injection at a dosage of 0.5 mg meloxicam/kg body weight (i.e., 2.5 ml/100 kg body weight), which may be combined with antibiotic therapy or oral rehydration therapy as appropriate.

    Pigs: Single intramuscular injection at a dosage of 0.4 mg/kg body weight (i.e., 2.0 ml/100 kg body weight), combined with antibiotic therapy as appropriate. If necessary, a second injection of meloxicam may be administered after 24 hours.

    Horses: Single intravenous injection at a dosage of 0.6 mg/kg body weight (i.e., 3.0 ml/100 kg body weight).
